Our Guarantee
All of our dogs are guaranteed for the life of the dog against genetic defects that compromise or affect the dogs ability to function in the capacity for which you purchased. All dogs and puppies from Aneto are guaranteed to be healthy at the time of sale, and to be current on DHL-P, and Rabies vaccinations. In working dogs you are required to get the Lyme disease vaccination and keep it current thereafter as well as the DHL-P and Rabies. Failure to be able to document this to our satisfaction can and likely will void any consideration for guarantee. Most reasonable people will realize that documentation of keeping up with the vaccination protocols including Lyme disease will have to be from a Vet or other reliable third party. The mere claim that you ordered and gave shots will not constitute documentation in almost all cases.
The guarantee for show and breeding stock is much more extensive than the guarantee for companion, or working Pyrs. The aim for companion or working Pyrs is to have a happy healthy Pyr. In the case of a working dog, it should be able to work without experiencing problems from genetics. We guarantee that your companion dog will be free of any genetic effects that prevent it from being a normal companion for the life of the dog. For working dogs, we guarantee that the health of the dogs will not be compromised by genetic related problems that hinder or prevent the dog from working in the capacity you purchased it from us. If any of the above occur during the whole life of the dog (excepting normal age related problems and occurrences), we will replace the dog. All breeding stock should be cleared for Brucellosis. For show and breeding stock we guarantee the dog to receive at least a fair grade from OFA on its hips, to not have luxating patella, epilepsy, juvenile cataracts, or Sub Aortic stenosis during the whole life of the dog. We guarantee that the dog will have a good bite (either scissor or even). Drop teeth do not constitute poor bite as long as the jaw is aligned properly and the teeth other than those few dropped are scissor or even. We know of no thyroid problems in our breeding, but would replace a dog that was proven to have a genetic problem that affected the thyroid. Geriatric cataracts do not constitute a genetic eye problem as this is expected in some old dogs and generally does not affect the dogs health and functioning. We do not have epilepsy in our breeding and would not replace Pyrs with non-genetic form caused from outside source i.e. trauma, chemical, etc. Same is true of non genetic juvenile or late onset cataracts. If your brood bitch does not come into season or cannot conceive we will replace her if the problem appears related to genetics. Bitches who have experienced uterine infections are not genetic based problems and this can effect the implantation of the embryos. If your stud dog or show dog did not have two normally descended testacies at some time in his life or is sterile for no known reason we will replace him. Other genetic problems that are documented might result in replacement if it affects the dogs function in breeding or showing.
If your working dog or companion dog is symptomatic from its dysplastic hips, or luxating patella knees, we will replace it. While we know of no incidence in our breeding of sub-aortic stenosis, if your working Pyr has sub-aortic stenosis that caused it to have diminished capacity working, we will replace it. If your working or companion Pyr has eyesight problems from genetic juvenile cataracts of an extent that it hinders it from being a good companion or compromises its ability to work we will replace it. Other eye and heart problems that is documented as genetic in nature that affects the Pyrs ability to be a happy and effective companion or to be an effective a symptomatic working dog would be replaced as well.
